Growing a Fuller Beard: Nutrition, Sleep & the Testosterone Myth
Genetics decide your ceiling. Habits decide how close you get to it.
Testosterone matters less than the internet tells you — sensitivity of your follicles to DHT is mostly genetic and you cannot supplement your way past it. What you CAN control:
Protein: beard hair is keratin. Under-eat protein and the beard is the first thing your body stops funding.
Sleep: most growth hormone for tissue repair releases in deep sleep. Six hours or less and you are handicapping the process.
Blood flow: the boar brush is not folklore — mechanical stimulation measurably improves circulation to the follicle.
And the patience rule: you cannot judge a beard before week eight. Shave it at week two and you will never know your real ceiling.
